There are four annual offerings of the Presbyterian Church USA in which our church participates through the Presbyterian Mission Agency. Announcements about participating in these mission programs are usually placed in the Sunday Bulletin, the Interface, or our Church Home Page.
One Great Hour of Sharing:
Collections from this offering are used to benefit the Presbyterian Hunger Program and Presbyterian Disaster Relief and Self Development of People.
Sixty percent of this offering is given to the Presbyterian Church USE an forty percent is given to a mission that is chosen by the church. The last two years’ offerings have been given to the Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Camp Crestfield.
This offering is collected on World Communion Sunday, the first Sunday in October. Seventy-five percent of the donations are given to the Pittsburgh Presbytery and twenty-five percent are given to a mission chosen by the church. Recently it has been given to the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank.
Christmas Joy Offering:
Donations from this offering are distributed between the Board of Pensions and the Racial Ethnic Education Program.
