Sunday School

9:30 am

Ariel JMPC – Version 2

You are welcome to visit us on top of the hill  !

Parking is located behind the church and the entrance to the church is accessed directly from the large parking lot.

We are a community of ordinary people who are followers of Jesus Christ.

We are trying to live in God’s love and share God’s love with the world.

You are welcome to visit to worship with us at 8:30 am or at 11:00 am on Sunday mornings. Everyone is welcome and you will find a wide variety of people across generations worshiping together. Children and youth are welcome to attend worship.  Because we sit in comfortable chairs, babies in their car seat/carriers fit right in!   If you prefer, there is a nursery for children up to 3 years of age that is staffed at both services. Attire ranges from informal, such as jeans, to casual/business dress. Please dress in  whatever is comfortable to you.

Large print bulletins complete with hymns, as well as hearing assist devices are available for use during the service. Just ask an usher for one.

Our worship services are fairly traditional, complete with wonderful music, time for the sharing of joys and concerns, and Bible-based sermons. Throughout the year, there may be variations in our services, such as Christmas and Youth Sunday.

During the worship service, please take time to sign and indicate your contact information on the Friendship pad. We are always interested to know why people visit and are happy to provide visitors with information about faith, our congregation at John McMillan or the Presbyterian Church USA.

We are a child friendly congregation. There are clipboards with activities for children to use during the service, if needed. A special part of the 11:00 am service is devoted to A Time with Children–a short message or lesson of faith that often supports the morning’s sermon. Afterwards, children may attend The Creation Station class to learn a unique Bible lesson. The narthex, located just outside the sanctuary, is equipped with speakers, so parents may stay in this area with their children and see the worship service through the large glass windows.

You may also wish to visit our Sunday School classes at 9:30 am. There are classes for adults, as well as for children. Click here for more information about our Christian Education program.

Feel free to join us for some fellowship and socialization and get to know our friendly congregation. We have fellowship time complete with beverages and cookies between 10:30 -11:00 am on Sunday mornings in the Narthex. During that time, children can join one of our Children’s Choirs practice sessions.

After church , be sure to introduce yourself to our Pastor on the way out. The Pastor is also available to answer any questions you may have or to meet with you later.

If you have any questions about the church, or if there is any way we can help you or pray for you, please let us know.  We hope to see you!
